Just a quick update today, as things are pretty quiet until the end of the week. The timing of the next storm has changed a bit, but significant snow is still likely.

A trough of low-pressure south of the Northern Rockies will throw a series of disturbances northward into the mountains of SW Montana on Monday and Tuesday. Big Sky, Lost Trail, and Bridger Bowl could see 4” – 10” thru Tuesday. A little break Wednesday and Thursday before another low on Friday brings a shot of more widespread light to moderate accumulations into the coming weekend.

Monday rain/snow showers will lead into a major storm for Tuesday and Wednesday. Strong winds, heavy snowfall, and full on blizzard conditions are likely both days. We clear out by Thursday morning and should see relatively calmer weather going into next week. More chances of active weather are possible next week.

A storm on Monday will largely miss BC to the south with just some flurries/sprinkles for the Coast Range of Southwest BC. Mostly sunny skies & spring conditions will return Tue-Wed, then the next storm will arrive on Thu with more widespread snow for Southern BC while Northern BC will only see light snow showers. An unsettled pattern will continue over the weekend with light snow showers.

The second and more substantial wave arrives Tuesday afternoon and continues through Thursday morning. Snow lingers Thursday into Friday. The third wave arrives next weekend, March 25-26. Break early next week ahead of another wave around March 29-31.

A brief break on Monday with only scattered showers. The next system takes aim by Monday night and lasts through Wednesday morning. Strong winds, blowing snow, and heavy snowfall will be the case on Tuesday. By Thursday we could see sun that lasts through the weekend with only a few chances of seeing very light snowfall.

The next storm cycle is underway on Monday and it will go through Wednesday into Thursday. Totals across the northern mountains should be 12-24" by Thursday with powder days every day in between. Colder air moves in Thursday and Friday to keep conditions winterlike through the weekend.

Snow is picking up across the area on Monday AM and a series of storms will bring daily rounds of snow through at least Friday with lingering snow showers likely this weekend as well. Temps will also remain well below average for the foreseeable future.

A moist weather system is moving into Southern Idaho on Tuesday morning, and it's expected to deliver 4-8" during the ski/ride day and more tonight. SW flow is favoring Bogus Basin, Pomerelle, Brundage, Tamarack and Pebble Creek. Cloudy in N. Idaho on Monday and clearing Tues-Wed with warm temps. Two Low Pressure troughs moving through this week will keep our weather generally unstable.

Following sunny weather during the weekend, we are heading into a seven-day storm cycle with snow from today, Monday, all the way through Sunday, March 26. The first round of snow will be Monday to Tuesday morning, the second round of snow will be Tuesday through Wednesday night, and then we'll see additional waves of snow later in the week and during the weekend. This amazing season continues!

After a weekend full of powder turns, capped off by plentiful sunshine on Sunday, the week will start out quiet on Monday before a chance of a powder day on Wednesday. The models are mixed on how the rest of the week ahead plays out, but there could be another chance of powder turns late this week.

An active week is expected across the West with frequent storms arriving, favoring the Southwest early in the week and the Northwest late in the week. Temperatures will also remain colder than average out West for the foreseeable future. The East will be milder with occasional rain this week, followed by a better chance of snow across the Northeast this weekend.

Resorts around the Great Lakes cashed in on some nice late-season lake effect snow this weekend. We start this week dry with above freezing temperatures. A round of storm systems will bring scattered rain on Wednesday continuing through Saturday, with some snow possible north and west on Saturday. Updates on closing days are in the Announcements! We are expecting warm weather to start the week with rain and snow showers returning Wednesday night. A larger storm arrives for the weekend with a snow likely across Northern New England, mix in the middle, and rain across Southern New England.

Well that was a nice taste of spring. Fortunately/Unfortunately winter returns in earnest this week! Let's take a look.

Active week ahead with warm air pushing into Colorado and cooler air further north. Some areas will report 30-35 inches by Thursday. It might not be a storm to chase the deepest totals.

An active start to the new season as yet another very wet Pacific system is shaping up to deliver big.

A weak trough of low-pressure will move into the Rockies on Monday transitioning skies to mostly cloudy and bringing slight chances of isolated flurries, mainly along the Divide from Banff south to Castle Mountain. Cloudy skies with scattered flurries continue through Tuesday and into Wednesday morning before high-pressure rebuilds Wednesday and Thursday. Measurable snowfall returns for Friday.

A relatively weak storm will impact the PNW on Sunday and Monday with Oregon being the most favored, while snowfall will be lighter across Washington. Most ski terrain will stay all-snow, but some lower elevation areas will see rain mixing in at times. The pattern will remain unsettled Tue-Wed, then a stronger storm is expected on Thu-Fri.

A significant late-season heatwave will persist across the West throughout the holiday weekend before eventually relenting mid to late next week. Daily record highs are likely across much of the West and some areas will break Sept monthly records as well. Smoky conditions have also become more widespread across the Northwest & Northern Rockies. Cooler temps will finally arrive late next week.
